A type of glass produced by two possible processes. First is the vertical method, which was invented by Emile Fourcault in 1902, or the horizontal method, invented by Libby-Owens in 1906. In this process molten glass flows continuously from a glass melting furnace to a drawing tank when the glass is drawn as a continuous ribbon and is passed over a bending roll in a drawing chamber above the tank and then to an annealing lehr.Drawn sheet glass and float glass have the same chemical composition as well as the same general physical properties.
